Graffiti Knitters


Well, here's a concept... the graffiti patchwork bombers of London, beautifully exposed on the exquisitely cool WEE BIRDY blog.

Colourful London, or is that an oxymoron. I love this reknitting of the neighbourhood & perhaps a solution to finding a home for all those knitted and crocheted squares that find their way into nursing homes as blankets - hideous & too heavy for frail bones.

Never mind all the tea cosies we don't use any more because of the tea bags...

And doesn't it look like a giant tea cosy?

Tea cosies! I love it! I have reservations about artists who drape the landscape on a grand scale - slightly pretentious (or I'm boring & live in a world of culture spelt out in lower case). The tea cosy I get.
